Jane Aikens , CT -Intern
HI! My name is Jane, and I am excited to be an intern therapist at The Wellness Institute. I am pursuing my Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) credentials in Clinical Rehabilitation at Wilberforce University, where I have developed a strong foundation in therapeutic techniques and the importance of a multicultural counseling approach. My excitement and passion for helping others and my commitment to holistic understanding and wellness motivate my approach to therapy.
I believe in creating an individualized, safe, supportive, and non-judgmental space for clients to explore their thoughts and feelings. By collaborating with you as a client, I aim to help you achieve self-awareness and your personal goals and improve your overall well-being.
For over 10 years, my experiences in leadership development, mental health therapeutic practice, and support have allowed me to work with diverse populations and address various mental health challenges. Involving children, families, senior citizens, and respite care. Specifically, my counseling interests are in couples counseling, trauma & PTSD rehabilitation, and military mental health challenges.
Outside of my professional life, I enjoy dancing, music, cars, and spending time with my family. These activities help me maintain a balanced and fulfilling life, which I believe is essential for providing effective therapy.
If you would like to schedule an appointment or learn more about my approach to therapy, please feel free to contact me at jane@wwillc.org or schedule a free 15-minute consultation.
